7-HMR (hydroxythiainesinol)
Scientists have established that 7-HMR (Hydroxymatairesinol is a new class of lignans with bioavailable containing phytoestrogens with properties of natural hormones. As precursors of estrogens (enterolactone), lignans under the influence of intestinal microflora converted to the active form of estradiol *
7-HMR promotes:
- decrease in the frequency and severity of "tides";
- reduce the level of irritability and mood swings;
- reducing the incidence of headache;
- reducing the risk of developing cardiovascular diseases;
- increased sexual activity.
As a result of foreign studies ** it was found that the use of lignan 7-HMR in diet programs helps to protect hormone-dependent cells from growth-stimulating action, thereby reducing the risk of developing tumors in the tissues of the breast and endometrium of the uterus.
Lignans contribute to the regulation of plasma cholesterol by increasing the high-density lipoproteins (HDL) and lowering the level of low density lipoproteins (LDL). This explains its preventive effect in relation to the development of atherosclerosis. This scientific statement was published in 2007, in the edition Journal of Cardiovascular Pharmacology and Therapeutics, Dec. 12(4).
It should also be noted that 7-HMR strengthens the structure of cells, increasing their resistance to oxidation by free radicals, slowing down aging.
