Objective examination of pregnant women

An objective examination of pregnant women during the physiological course of pregnancy is performed by the obstetrician-gynecologist (at least 7 times).
If the internal organs are diagnosed in pregnant women, their complicated course due to pregnancy, the therapist or the specialized specialist together with the obstetrician-gynecologist discuss the possibility of bearing pregnancy. If necessary, conduct additional studies or send a pregnant woman to a hospital, deciding on the choice of an institution for treatment and the desirability of maintaining a pregnancy.Obstetrician-gynecologist at each visit to the consultation of the pregnant woman controls how the recommendations of specialists are carried out. Consultative and medical assistance to pregnant women is provided in specialized offices of women's clinics, hospitals, clinical bases of the departments of educational medical institutions, perinatal centers, specialized departments of clinical hospitals.
Special care is required for pregnant smokers who use alcohol or drugs. When identifying the use of alcohol or narcotic drugs, the pregnant woman should be persuaded to consult a psychiatrist-narcologist at the place of residence in order to preserve the health of her and her future child. Further monitoring of the course of pregnancy, as well as after childbirth is performed by an obstetrician-gynecologist, taking into account the recommendations of a psychiatrist-narcologist.
Pregnant with a positive result of a laboratory test for antibodies to the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), the doctor is an obstetrician, and in his absence, a general practitioner (family doctor), a medical assistant in the feldsher-midwife station,sends to the Center for the Prevention and Control of Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome of a subject of the Russian Federation for additional examination, setting up a dispensary record and prescribing chemoprophylaxis for perinatal HIV transmission (antiretroviral therapy).
HIV-infected pregnant women are hospitalized and given birth in a specialized hospital.
When detecting pregnant women under the age of 18 in case of making a positive decision on the preservation of pregnancy and childbirth
they come under the supervision of the obstetrician-gynecologist of the territorial women's consultation, after childbirth - to family planning centers and reproductions or youth centers for individual selection of contraceptives.
In the presence of medical indications for the termination of pregnancy and the consent of a woman, she is given a commission conclusion with a full clinical diagnosis, certified by the signatures of specialists (depending on the disease profile), the obstetrician-gynecologist, the chief doctor of the women's consultation, and the institution's seal.
