  • Antiviral drugs
  • Pharmacodynamics:

Poludan® is a biosynthetic polyribonucleotide complex of polyriboadenyl and polyribouridyl acids. Inductor synthesis of endogenous interferon. Has a pronounced antiviral and immunomodulating activity.

The instillation stimulates the production of endogenous interferon in the serum and tear fluid, which is determined 3 hours after the administration.

A high level of interferon (110 U / ml in the blood and 75 U / ml in the lacrimal fluid) is maintained by daily administration throughout the course of the course, on the second day after discontinuation of administration is practically not determined (titer does not exceed 10 U / ml). Increases the activity of natural killer cells, initially lowered in patients with ophthalmoherpes, as well as other immunocompetent cells.
    Indications:

Poludan® is prescribed for adults and children with viral eye diseases: adenoviral andherpetic conjunctivitis, superficial keratoconjunctivitis, keratitis.

    Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.

    Dosing and Administration:

Application in adults: Bury in the conjunctival sac 1-2 drops 6-8 times a day. As the inflammation subsides, the number of instillations is reduced to 3-4 times a day.

Use in children: Bury in the conjunctival sac 1-2 drops 3-4 times a day. As the inflammation subsides, the number of instillations is reduced to 1-2 times a day.

If there is no effect for 7 days, you should consult a doctor about subconjunctival injections of the drug.

    Side effects:

Allergic reactions (itching, sensation of foreign body, strengthening conjunctival injection, the emergence of individual follicles in the lower transitional fold).

    Interaction:

With the simultaneous use of Poludan® with enzyme preparations in connection with the destructive action of enzymeson endogenous interferon, the clinical efficacy of Poludan® is reduced.
