Management of patients with type 1 diabetes mellitus during pregnancy is a very difficult task forobstetrician-gynecologist and endocrinologist. In the past, before the advent of effective insulin therapy, most patients with this diagnosis were infertile. If a woman still managed to conceive a child, the frequency of intrauterine and neonatal mortality reached 60%. However, as a result of the development of insulin therapy and neonatal resuscitation, this figure has decreased to today by 2-5%. The material presents an algorithm for conducting such patients according to modern world recommendations.
