Characteristic

Rhizomes contain a bitter substance, acorin, essential oil, tannins, resins, ascorbic acid and other biologically active substances.
Description:Pieces of rhizomes of various shapes. The color is yellowish, whitish-pink, greyish-green, yellowish-brown, rarely - dark brown. The smell is strong, fragrant, characteristic. The taste of water extract is spicy-bitter.
Pharmacotherapeutic group:Appetite stimulant of vegetable origin (bitterness).

  • Appetizers stimulating appetite
    • Pharmacodynamics:Irritating the taste receptors of the mucous membranes of the mouth and tongue, infusion reflex increases the secretion of gastric juice, increases appetite and improves digestion.
    Indications:They are used as a means to increase appetite and improve digestion in complex therapy for hypothyroidism of the gastrointestinal tract.
    Contraindications:Hypersensitivity to the drug; pregnancy, the period of breastfeeding, children under 12 years.
    Dosing and Administration:
    About 8 g (1 tablespoon) of rhizomes are placed in enameled dishes, pour 200 ml (1 glass) of hot boiled water,covered with a lid and heated in a boiling water bath for 15 minutes, cooled at room temperature for 45 minutes, filtered, the remaining raw material was squeezed. The volume of the infusion obtained is adjusted to 200 ml with boiled water.

    Take inside in a warm form for 1/3 cup 3 times a day for 30 minutes before meals. Before use, the infusion is recommended to be shaken.
    Side effects:Allergic reactions are possible.
    Overdose:To date, cases of overdose have not been documented.

    Rhizomes crushed for 30 g, 40 g, 50 g, 75 g, 100 g in packs of cardboard with an inner package.

    Storage conditions:
    In a dry place protected from light; prepared infusion - in a cool place not more than 2 days.

    Shelf life:
    3 years.
