Composition:

Per 1000 ml:

Active substance: Althea medicinal roots extract (althea roots extract dry) (with the content of reducing monosaccharides in terms of glucose - 1.0%) - 25 g;

Excipients: sodium benzoate, sucrose (sugar), purified water.
Description:

Dense liquid from light yellow to yellowish-brown color, a peculiar smell.

    • Pharmacodynamics:

    Has reflex expectorant, as well as local anti-inflammatory effect, reduces the viscosity of bronchial secretions.

    Indications:

    Diseases of the respiratory tract, accompanied by a cough with hard-to-separate sputum (tracheitis, tracheobronchitis, bronchitis).

    Contraindications:

    Increased individual sensitivity to the components of the drug.

    Deficiency of sugar / isomaltase, intolerance to fructose, glucose-galactose malabsorption.

    Carefully:

    Patients with diabetes mellitus and people on a diet with a reduced carbohydrate content.

    Pregnancy and lactation:

    Application during pregnancy and during breastfeeding is possible if the expected benefit to the mother exceeds the potential risk to the fetus and the baby. It is necessary to consult a doctor.

    Dosing and Administration:

    Inside:

    Children under 12 years - 1 teaspoon of syrup, previously diluted in 1/4 a glass of warm water, 4-5 times a day after meals.

    Children over 12 years and adults - 1 tablespoon of syrup, previously divorced in 1/2 a glass of warm water, 4-5 times a day after meals. The duration of treatment is 10-15 days. An increase in the duration and holding of repeated courses of treatment is possible in agreement with the doctor.
    Side effects:

    Symptoms: nausea, vomiting.
