Pharmacodynamics:Antimicrobial and antiseptic. Binding to DNA, RNA, membranes and proteins of bacteria, a violation of their synthesis. Has a bacteriostatic effect. Effective in relation to Streptococcus haemolyticus, Streptococcus viridans, Pneumococcus. Apply in the form of tablets for resorption with angina, gingivitis, pharyngitis, laryngitis, stomatitis; for the prevention of oral infections in the perioperative period (tonsillectomy, tooth extraction).
Pharmacokinetics:The optimal therapeutic concentration in saliva is on the 3-4th day of administration at a dose of 0.03-0.05 g per day.
Indications:Prophylaxis and treatment of acute infectious and inflammatory diseases of the oral cavity and pharynx: tonsillitis, tonsillitis, stomatitis, gingivitis, pharyngitis; postoperative treatment for tonsillectomy and extraction of teeth.

Pregnancy and lactation:The category of FDA recommendations is not defined.Adequate and well-controlled studies on humans and animals have not been conducted.
Dosing and Administration:Adults - 40-50 mg per day (4-5 tablets), for 3-4 days. Children from 3 to 7 years - 30 mg per day. The drug is used, slowly dissolving in the mouth, 15-30 minutes after eating.
Side effects:Allergic reactions, skin rash.
Overdose:Not described. Treatment is symptomatic.
Interaction:Clinically significant interactions with other drugs are not described.
For 3 hours after using the drug, refrain from eating and drinking.
Special instructions:Ambazon acts only on bacteria, so if inflammatory diseases of the mouth, larynx or pharynx are caused by viruses or fungi, the application will be ineffective.
