Composition:

In 100 g of the drug contains:

Active substances:

Poison bee - 3.0 mg;

Methylsalicylate - 10.0 g;

Allyl isothiocyanate 1.0 g.

Excipients: sodium lauryl sulfate - 0.7 g; white petrolatum - 6.0 g; emulsified cetostearyl alcohol - 14.0 g, which contains: sodium cetyl stearyl sulfate - 1.4 g, cetostearyl alcohol - 12.6 g, water - up to 100 g.

Description:

Ointment from white to slightly yellowish color, homogeneous consistency with the smell of methyl salicylate.

  • Pharmacodynamics:

    Combined medicinal product for external use based on highly purified bee venom.

    Poison bee venom has analgesic and anti-inflammatory effect (stabilizes lysosomal membranes), shows antibacterial effect (inhibits the growth of gram-positive bacteria).

    Methylsalicylate belongs to the group of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, has a pronounced anti-inflammatory effect (inhibits the production of prostaglandins, inhibits cyclooxygenase).

    Allyl isothiocyanate (purified standardized extract of mustard oil) causes deep heating of tissues, improves local blood flow, lowers tonic contraction of muscles.

    Indications:

    - Diseases of the peripheral nervous system, accompanied by a sensation of pain: neuralgia, neuritis, radiculitis, pain in the lumbar region (ischialgia);

    - pain in the muscles (myalgia) and soft tissue damage, incl. caused by trauma;

    - warming up the muscles before, during and after physical activity and playing sports;

    - damage / stretching of the tendons, accompanied by pain and swelling;

    - diseases of the musculoskeletal system (osteoarthritis, rheumatic soft tissue damage), degenerative dystrophic lesions and joint pain.

    Contraindications:

    Hypersensitivity to bee venom, salicylates, isothiocyanate; severe chronic renal failure; liver failure; skin diseases; neoplasms; damage to the skin; acute arthritis; infectious diseases; oppression of bone marrow hematopoiesis; mental illness; children's age (up to 6 years); pregnancy and lactation.

    Carefully:Renal insufficiency, children age from 6 to 12 years.
    Dosing and Administration:

    Outwardly.

    A strip of ointment 3-5 cm long is evenly distributed on the skin (the thickness of the layer is about 1 mm) until the appearance of redness and sensation of heat (2-3 minutes).After that, slowly and intensely rub the ointment into the skin. To strengthen the therapeutic effect, it is recommended to keep the treated areas warm. Apply 2-3 times a day until the symptoms disappear (no more than 10 days).

    Side effects:

    In rare cases, skin allergic reactions are possible, irritation at the place of application.

    Interaction:

    Methylsalicylate increases the effect of anticoagulants, methotrexate.

    Special instructions:

    In renal failure, prolonged use should not be allowed on large surfaces.

    Do not apply to damaged and irritated skin.

    Avoid contact with ointment, eyes, mucous membranes and open wounds.

    After applying the ointment hand should be thoroughly washed with soap.

    For 20 or 50 grams of ointments for external use in aluminum tubes, sealed with aluminum foil and closed with a plastic cap.

    One tube with the instruction for use is placed in a cardboard box.
