Pharmacodynamics:

After ingestion. Forms a thin film on the mucosa of the gastrointestinal tract, in which liquid, bacteria and toxins are absorbed. Has astringent effect, relieves spasms of the intestine.

Pharmacokinetics:

After oral administration is not absorbed into the blood, thickens the contents of the intestines, improving its consistency and helping to reduce the number of bowel movements.

Indications:It is used for diarrhea, food poisoning. Used in combination therapy with irritation of the intestinal mucosa.
Contraindications:

Chronic diarrhea, diarrhea of ​​parasitic genesis, dysentery.

Individual intolerance.

Pregnancy and lactation:

Pregnancy and lactation: recommendations for Food and Drug Administration (US Food and Drug Administration) - Category B. It is used in pregnant and lactating children.

Dosing and Administration:

Accepted inside. The initial dose for adults is 4 tablets, then 2 tablets after each defecation. Duration of treatment is no more than 2 days.

The highest daily dose: 14 tablets.Children - 7 tablets.

The highest single dose: 4 tablets. For children - 2 tablets.

Side effects:

In elderly patients and children, dehydration may develop. At the first sign of dehydration, rehydration therapy is recommended.

Reduces absorption in the gastrointestinal tract of anticholinergics, antibiotics, digoxin.

Special instructions:
