  • Pharmacodynamics:

    Combined drug.

    Zinc sulfate has an antiseptic, astringent, drying and local anti-inflammatory effect, affects the regeneration process. Antimicrobial activity is a consequence of coagulation of proteins of microorganisms with the formation of albumins.

    Boric acid - antiseptic. It has weak bacteriostatic and fungistatic properties. Coagulates proteins (including enzymatic proteins) microbial cells, violates permeability of the cell membrane.

    Hydroxyethyl cellulose, which is part of the preparation as an auxiliary component, contributes to the viscosity increase of the solution, which increases the duration of contact of the solution with the cornea.

    Pharmacokinetics:

    Boric acid penetrates through the skin and mucous membranes; It is slowly excreted and can accumulate in organs and tissues.50% is excreted by the kidneys within 12 hours, the rest is within 5-7 days. Systemic adsorption of zinc sulfate for local application is low.

    Indications:

    Conjunctivitis.

    Contraindications:

    Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, dry eye syndrome, children under 18, pregnancy, lactation.

    Pregnancy and lactation:

    The drug is contraindicated for use during pregnancy and during breastfeeding.

    Dosing and Administration:

    1-2 drops in the conjunctival sac of the affected eye, 2 times a day. A course of treatment 10-14 days.

    Side effects:

    Allergic reactions, burning.

    Overdose:

    Symptoms: long-term use at doses substantially higher than therapeutic, may cause chronic intoxication symptoms (nausea, fever, local tissue edema, renal dysfunction, electrolyte imbalance in plasma).

    Treatment: discontinue use of the drug; symptomatic therapy.

    Interaction:

    Zinc sulfate reduces the effect of penicillin, tetracycline chelates forms, with pharmaceutically compatible salts of silver, lead, quinine, Ichthammol, citral, Protargolum.

    Special instructions:

    After opening the vial or tube-dropper use within 14 days.

    Effect on the ability to drive transp. cf. and fur:
