Pharmacodynamics:

The drug is a combination of benzocaine and tirotricin. The drug has an antimicrobial and local anesthetic effect. Reduces pain and irritation in the throat, as well as swelling of the oral mucosa.

Benzocaine - local anesthetic for superficial anesthesia. Reduces the permeability of the cell membrane for sodium, displaces calcium from receptors located on the inner surface of the membrane, blocks the conduct of nerve impulses. When applied to the surface of the oral mucosa, the effect develops rapidly (within 1 minute).

Tirotricin - antibiotic obtained from bacteria of the species Bacillus brevis. Tirotricin is a mixture of cyclic and linear (aliphatic) polypeptides. It is active against a wide range of gram-positive microorganisms and spirochaetes of the oral cavity.

Indications:

Symptomatic therapy andInfectious-inflammatory diseases of the oral cavity and larynx.

Contraindications:

Children and adolescence under 18; pregnancy; lactation period (breastfeeding); hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.

Do not apply to patients of both sexes when planning a pregnancy.

Use in children.

Pregnancy and lactation:

The drug is contraindicated in pregnancy and lactation (breastfeeding).

Dosing and Administration:

Assign 1 tablet every 2-3 hours. Duration of treatment - no more than 5 days.

The tablet should be slowly resorbed in the mouth.

Side effects:

Allergic reactions: possibly - contact dermatitis, skin rash.

Local reactions: possibly - a persistent decrease in the sensitivity of the oral mucosa, swelling of the mucous membrane of the mouth or throat.

If these symptoms appear, the patient should stop taking the drug and consult a doctor.

Overdose:

Symptoms: cyanosis, dyspnea, dizziness.

Treatment: symptomatic therapy.

Interaction:

Benzocaine due to the formation of its metabolite 4-aminobenzoic acid reduces the antibacterial activity of sulfonamides and aminosalicylates.

Special instructions:

If there is no effect within two days, you should consult a doctor.

The drug does not contain sugar, so the drug can be used in patients with concomitant diabetes.
