Composition:

To prepare 1 liter of tincture, you need:

Hawthorn fruit - 100 g

Excipients:

Ethyl alcohol 70% (ethanol) - a sufficient amount to obtain 1 liter of tincture.

Description:

Transparent liquid from yellow to reddish brown.

    Indications:

    Hawthorn tincture is used in complex therapy of functional disorders of cardiac activity, cardialgia, climacteric syndrome, astheno-neurotic states.

    Contraindications:

    Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, pregnancy, lactation, age under 12 years

    Dosing and Administration:

    Adults on 20-30 drops 3-4 times a day before meals. The course of treatment is 20-30 days.

    Children over 12 years of 10-15 drops 3-4 times a day before meals. The course of treatment is 20-30 days.

    Side effects:

    In some cases, allergic reactions are possible (hives, itching). With prolonged use in large doses, bradycardia, arterial hypotension are possible; rarely - dizziness, tremor, drowsiness.

    Interaction:

    With combined use of tinctures of hawthorn and cardiac glycosides (strophanthine, digoxin and others) there is an intensification of the cardiotonic effect; with beta-blockers - it is possible to strengthen the hypotensive effect
