Composition:

For the preparation use:

Hawthorn fruits - 100 g;

Ethanol (ethyl alcohol) 70% - a sufficient amount to produce 1000 ml of the drug.

Description:Transparent liquid from light yellow to reddish brown.
Pharmacotherapeutic group:Cardiotonic herbal remedy

  • Hawthorn glycosides
    • Pharmacodynamics:Has moderate cardiac, spasmolytic, sedative effect.
    Indications:In the complex therapy of functional disorders of cardiac activity, cardialgia, climacteric syndrome, astheno-neurotic states.
    Contraindications:

    Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, pregnancy, the period of breastfeeding, children under 12 years.

    Carefully:Liver diseases, alcoholism, traumatic brain injury, brain disease, children age from 12 years.
    Dosing and Administration:

    Inside.

    Adults: 20-30 drops 3-4 times a day before meals. The course of treatment is 20-30 days.

    Children over 12 years of age: 10-15 drops, diluted in 1/4 cup water, 3-4 times a day before meals. The course of treatment is 20-30 days.
    Side effects:In some cases, allergic reactions are possible (hives, itching),bradycardia (with prolonged use); when used in large doses - lowering blood pressure, dizziness, tremor, drowsiness.
    Overdose:

    With prolonged use of the drug in doses exceeding the recommended dose, it is possible to increase dose-dependent side effects.

    Treatment: symptomatic.
    Interaction:

    With the joint use of tinctures of hawthorn and cardiac glycosides (including strophanthine, digoxin) there is an intensification of the cardiotonic effect; with beta-blockers - it is possible to increase the hypotensive effect.

    Special instructions:The absolute alcohol content in the maximum single dose of the drug for adults is 0.45 g, for children 0.23 g; in the maximum daily dose of the drug for adults contains 1.8 grams, for children - 0.9 g.
    Effect on the ability to drive transp. cf. and fur:During the treatment period, care must be taken when carrying out potentially dangerous activities requiring increased concentration and speed of psychomotor reactions (vehicle management, working with moving mechanisms, dispatcher and operator work).
    Form release / dosage:Tincture.
    Packaging:

    To 25 ml in a bottle-dropper OS or in a bottle-dropper of orange glass with a cap-cap.

    Storage conditions:

    In the dark place at a temperature of 15 to 25 ° C.
