    Description:

    A mixture of particles of flowers passing through a sieve with holes 2 mm in size. The color is greyish-green with whitish-yellow and brown impregnations. The smell is weak, peculiar. The taste of water extract is slightly bitter, slimy.

    Pharmacodynamics:

    Infusion of hawthorn flowers has cardiotonic, spasmolytic and moderate sedative effect, exhibits antihypertensive properties, normalizes blood coagulability.

    Indications:

    In complex therapy of functional disorders of cardiovascular activity (neurocirculatory dystonia, cardialgia).

    Contraindications:

    Hypersensitivity to the drug, pregnancy (first trimester), children under 12 years.

    Pregnancy and lactation:

    Application in pregnancy in the II and III trimester and during breastfeeding is possible if the expected benefit for the mother exceeds the potential risk to the fetus of the child. It is necessary to consult a doctor.

    Dosing and Administration:2 filter packs (4.0 g) of hawthorn flowers are placed in glass or enamel ware, pour 200 ml (1 glass) of hot boiled water, cover with a lid and insist for 15 minutes, periodically pressing on the bags with a spoon, then squeeze them. The volume of the infusion obtained is adjusted to 200 ml with boiled water.

    Adults and children from 12 years old take 1/2 - 1/3 cup 2-3 times a day 30 minutes before meals. The course of treatment is 20 - 30 days. Before use, the infusion is recommended to be shaken.

    Side effects:

    Possible allergic reactions (urticaria, pruritus), bradycardia (with prolonged use), when used in high doses - lowering blood pressure, drowsiness.

    Overdose:When the drug is used in doses exceeding the recommended dosage, dose-dependent side effects may increase.
    Interaction:

    When combined with cardiac glycosides, the cardiotonic effect increases; with beta-blockers - it is possible to increase the hypotensive effect.

    Special instructions:

    During treatment, blood pressure control is necessary.

    During the treatment period, care must be taken when performing potentially hazardousactivities that require an increased concentration of attention and speed of psychomotor reactions (including the management of vehicles, work with moving mechanisms).

    Form release / dosage:

    Flowers powder. By 2.0 g of powder in a filter bag;

    Ready infusion - in a cool place no more than 2 days.
