Composition:

100 g of elixir contains:

- active components:

herb extract thyme liquid 5,000 g;

root extract of the primrose liquid 2,500 g

- auxiliary components:

sodium benzoate, invert sugar syrup, caramel syrup, purified water.

Description of active ingredient: extract of thyme herb liquid (Thymus vulgaris L.).

Ratio of herb thyme to extractant 1: 2-2,5.

Extractor: ammonia solution 10% (w / w), glycerin 85%, ethyl alcohol 90% (v / v), purified water; in the ratio 1: 20: 70: 109.

Description of active ingredient: root extract of primrose liquid (Primula veris L.).

The ratio of the roots of the primrose to the extractant is 1: 2-2.5.

Extracting agent: ethyl alcohol 70% (mass / mass).

Description:Transparent or slightly cloudy solution from reddish brown to dark brown with a faint smell of thyme.

    • Pharmacodynamics:

    The drug has expectorant, anti-inflammatory, bronchodilator, antimicrobial effect, helps reduce the viscosity of sputum and accelerate its evacuation.

    Indications:As an expectorant in the complex therapy of inflammatory diseases of the respiratory tract (bronchitis, tracheitis, etc.), accompanied by a cough with hard-to-recover sputum.
    Contraindications:

    Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, congenital intolerance to fructose, glucose-fructose malabsorption, insufficiency of sucrose enzymes and isomaltase, chronic heart failure (in the decompensation stage), severe violations of the liver and kidneys, children's age (up to 1 year).

    In connection with the content in the preparation of ethyl alcohol, the elixir Bronchicum TP should not be used in patients with alcoholism.

    Carefully:Only after consultation with a doctor should you take an elixir to patients with liver disease, diseases and brain trauma, epilepsy.
    Pregnancy and lactation:The drug is not recommended for use during pregnancy and during breastfeeding.
    Dosing and Administration:

    If the doctor has not prescribed another dosing regimen, adults and adolescents are prescribed orally 1 teaspoon of elixir (5 ml) to 6 times a day.

    Children from 5 to 12 years - 1 teaspoon of elixir (5 ml) to 4 times a day.

    Children from 1 year dr 4 years - 1/2 teaspoon (2.5 ml) to 3 times a day.

    Elixir should be taken at regular intervals throughout the day.

    The average course of treatment is 10-14 days.Increasing the duration, and holding repeated courses of treatment is possible on the advice of a doctor.

    Side effects:

    In rare cases, the following reactions are possible:

    allergic reactions: skin rash, urticaria, as well as swelling of the face and mucous cavity of the mouth and pharynx (angioedema).

    from the gastrointestinal tract: nausea, gastritis, dyspepsia.

    In these cases, as well as in the case of the development of any undesirable phenomena not indicated in the instructions, it is necessary to stop taking the drug and consult a doctor.

    Overdose:There were no reports of cases of intoxication development with the Bronchicum TP elixir.
    Interaction:

    It is not recommended simultaneous reception with antitussive drugs, as well as with drugs that reduce the formation of sputum, as this makes it difficult to cough up diluted sputum.

    Special instructions:

    Elixir Bronchicum TP contains 5.46% by volume of ethyl alcohol.

    In the event that the patient does not improve, or if there are attacks of suffocation, purulent sputum, or if the temperature rises, consult a doctor immediately.

    Information for patients with diabetes mellitus.

    5 ml of elixir (about 1 teaspoon) correspond to 0.36 XE (bread units).
