Pharmacodynamics:

Chloride alkaloids affect the smooth musculature of the intestine of fleas and lice, causing their death.

Pharmacokinetics:

The agent for external use is not absorbed into the bloodstream and does not have systemic effects on the body.

Indications:

It is used for the treatment of pediculosis. Used to fight pubic and ward lice. It is part of the antiscabic ointment.

Contraindications:

Age to 18 years, pregnancy and lactation, individual intolerance.

Pregnancy and lactation:

Recommendations for FDA - Category C. Contraindicated in pregnancy and lactation.

Dosing and Administration:

External, rubbed into the skin of the scalp. A swab dipped in a tincture of chaerie treats the hair along its entire length. After that, a rubber cap or plastic bag is put on the head for 30 minutes. Then wash the head with the usual means: water with soap or shampoo.

Side effects:

Allergic reactions.

Overdose:

Cases of overdose are not described.

Treatment is symptomatic.

Interaction:

Clinically significant interactions are not described.

Special instructions:

When combating head lice after hair treatment, combing the nits with a small scallop is recommended.
