Composition:

Rhizomes and roots of elecampane contain essential oil, sesquiterpene lactones, inulin, mucus, etc.

Description:

Powder. A mixture of pieces of roots and rhizomes of beige-gray or light-brown color with impregnations of whitish gray, light yellow, less often brown and dark brown in color. The scent is fragrant. The taste of the water extract is spicy, bitter.

    Infusion of rhizomes and roots of elecampane exerts an expectorant effect.

    Indications:

    Applied in adults and children as an expectorant for diseases of the upper respiratory tract.

    Contraindications:

    Hypersensitivity to the drug, kidney disease, pregnancy, lactation.

    Dosing and Administration:

    Powder. 2 filter bags are placed in a glass or enamel ware, pour 100 ml (1/2 cup) of boiling water, cover and insist 15 minutes. Filter packs are squeezed, the volume of the obtained infusion is brought to boiling water to 100 ml.

    Is taken internally in a warm form by 1/2 glass 2-3 times a day. The course of treatment is 2 weeks.

    Before use, the infusion is recommended to be shaken.

    Side effects:

    Possible allergic reactions, heartburn, increased pain in the abdomen.
