Pharmacodynamics:Has antihistamine, antipsychotic, antidepressant effect.

Contraindications:Dysfunction of the liver, poisoning with narcotic and analgesic drugs.

Dosing and Administration:Inside, with schizophrenia (affective disorders) and depressive-paranoidal condition, treatment begins with 12.5 mg per day (with a gradual increase in the dose to 75-150 mg) for 3 doses; in case of intensification of psychopathological disorders against the background of taking 150 mg per day, the dose is reduced to 75-50 mg; with long-standing schizophrenia with pronounced apatoabulic and affective disorders, the dose is increased to 400-600 mg per day.
Side effects:Fine tremor (mainly upper limbs), stiffness, increased muscle tone, hyperkinesia; hepatitis with the development of jaundice (requires the drug to be withdrawn).
Overdose:Treatment is symptomatic.
Interaction:Strengthens the effects of narcotic and analgesic drugs.
