Pharmacodynamics:Immunostimulating agent of plant origin.
Increases nonspecific resistance, activates macrophages and granulocytes, enhances phagocytosis. The release of cytokines leads to the proliferation and stimulation of immunocompetent cells. Serum content of serum increases. Some substances contained in the extract of Echinacea have antiviral activity against influenza and herpes viruses, as well as inhibitory effect on tissue and bacterial hyaluronidase. Increases the body's resistance to viral, bacterial and fungal infections.

Indications:Decrease in immunity, acute infectious diseases (prevention and treatment), adaptation with changing time zones, climate, meteosensitivity.

Contraindications:Hypersensitivity (including Compositae), tuberculosis, leukemia, collagen, multiple sclerosis, HIV infection, systemic lupus erythematosus, cancer, autoimmune diseases, pregnancy, breast-feeding, children under 12 years.
Carefully:The drug contains 50% alcohol. At each admission the patient receives 0.25-1 g of alcohol. The risk group consists of patients with epilepsy, alcoholism, with impaired liver function, brain damage.
Pregnancy and lactation:It should not be prescribed during pregnancy and lactation, because the safety of the drug in these situations is not known.
Dosing and Administration:Inside (a short time to keep in your mouth, not swallowing). For the prevention of infectious diseases - 20-30 drops 3 times a day, with acute infections - once 50 drops, then - 10-20 drops every hour.
Side effects:With increased sensitivity to Compositae in some cases, there may be allergic skin reactions that require discontinuation of the drug.
Overdose:Not described. Treatment is symptomatic.
Interaction:Echinacea angustifolia possesses immunostimulating action, simultaneous application with cytokines can enhance its effect.
Simultaneous use with immunosuppressants and glucocorticosteroids can weaken their effect.
Alcohol, which is a part of, can affect the effectiveness of other drugs.
