Composition:

For the preparation use:

active substance: eleutherococcus spiny rhizome and roots 1000 g;

auxiliary substances: Ethanol (ethyl alcohol) 40% - a sufficient amount to obtain 1000 ml of the preparation.

Note. Ethanol (ethyl alcohol) 40% is prepared from 360 g ethanol (ethyl alcohol) 95% and 640 g water purified.

Description:

The liquid is dark brown in color, with possible slight opalescence and a peculiar smell. During storage, a precipitate may form.

    • Pharmacodynamics:

    It has a stimulating effect on the central nervous system, tonic and restorative effect on the body, increases the general nonspecific resistance of the organism, improves appetite, improves physical and mental performance.

    Indications:

    Mental and physical fatigue, asthenic conditions of various etiologies, neurasthenia, arterial hypotension (low blood pressure), recovery period after infectious diseases and postoperative period.

    Contraindications:

    Increased individual sensitivity to the drug components, hypertension (high blood pressure), cardiac rhythm disturbance, myocardial infarction, cerebrovascular pathology, increased excitability, epilepsy, convulsions, insomnia, acute infectious diseases, chronic liver disease, pregnancy, breast-feeding period , children under 12 years.

    Carefully:

    Alcoholism, craniocerebral trauma, brain disease, children's age from 12 years.

    Dosing and Administration:The drug is used inside before meals in the morning.
    Adults appoint 20-30 drops 2-3 times a day.
    Children over 12 years old - in a dose of 1 drop per 1 year of life.
    The course of treatment is 25-30 days. If necessary, repeat courses with two-week breaks (or without them) after consulting a doctor.
    Shake before use.
    Side effects:

    In rare cases, allergic reactions, tachycardia, headache, becsleepwalking, hypoglycemia.

    Overdose:

    When using the drug in doses exceeding the recommended dose, it is possible to increase dose-related side effects.

    Treatment: symptomatic.

    Interaction:

    Eleutherococcal preparations strengthen the effect of stimulants of the central nervous system, are antagonists of drugs that depress the central nervous system (including neuroleptics, barbiturates, anxiolytics, antiepileptic drugs).

    With simultaneous use with digoxin, an increase in the concentration in the blood plasma of the latter is possible; with hypoglycemic drugs (including insulin) and anticoagulants may enhance the effect.

    Special instructions:The drug should not be used in the afternoon to avoid insomnia.
    When hypoglycemia occurs, it is recommended to reduce the dose of the drug, take it after a meal or cancel the drug.
    The maximum single dose of the drug contains 0.43 grams of absolute ethyl alcohol (30 drops), the maximum daily dose of 1.4 grams of absolute ethyl alcohol (90 drops).
    Effect on the ability to drive transp. cf. and fur:

    During the period of drug use, care must be taken when performing potentially hazardous activities,requiring increased concentration of attention and speed of psychomotor reactions (motor vehicle management, work with moving mechanisms, dispatcher and operator work, etc.).

    Packaging:

    For 25 and 50 ml of the drug in orange glass vials with a screw neck, sealed with polyethylene plugs and screw caps; or ukuporennyh caps are capping-screwed.

    To 25 and 50 ml of the drug in bottles imported brown glass, ukuporennyh polyethylene caps with the control of the first autopsy.

    For 25 ml of the drug in the bottles of droppers of orange glass, ukuporennyh stoppers, droppers and caps screwed.

    Each bottle, a dropper, along with instructions for use, will be prevented in a pack of cardboard.

    40 bottles of 50 ml, 54 bottles of 25 ml and 70 bottles of 25 ml droppers without a pack, together with an equal number of instructions for use, are placed in a cardboard box (for hospitals).
