Composition:

1 the tablet contains:

Active substances: Ornidazole 500 mg, neomycin in the form of neomycin sulfate 65,000 units, prednisolone in the form of prednisolone sodium phosphate 3 mg, econazole in the form of econazole nitrate 100 mg.

Excipients: lactose monohydrate 297 mg, potato starch 90 mg, silicon dioxide colloid (aerosil) 12 mg, povidone low molecular weight (polyvinylpyrrolidone low molecular weight) 19 mg, crospovidone 24 mg, polysorbate 20 mg 3 mg, calcium stearate 12 mg, talcum - 18 mg.

Description:

Flat tablets of oblong form with a bevel, white or white with a yellowish hue of color.

Pharmacotherapeutic group:Antimicrobial agent combined (antibiotic-aminoglycoside + antimicrobial and antiprotozoal means + antifungal agent + glucocorticosteroid).

Pharmacodynamics:

The drug with antibacterial, antiprotozoal, antifungal and anti-inflammatory action for topical application in gynecology.

Effective in relation to Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus epidermidis, Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus groups B3, Candida albicans. Has anti-inflammatory, antipruritic and antiexudative action.Reduces the formation, release and activity of inflammatory mediators (histamine, kinin, prostaglandins, lysosomal enzymes). Suppresses the migration of cells to the site of inflammation; reduces vasodilation and increased vascular permeability in the focus of inflammation. Reduces exudation due to vasoconstrictor action. Promotes rapid reduction of burning and itching.

Pharmacokinetics:

Studies of the pharmacokinetics of Elgin's preparation were not carried out due to low systemic absorption.

Indications:

bacterial vaginitis caused by banal pyogenic flora; Vulvovaginal fungal infections caused by fungi of the genus Candida; Vaginitis caused by a mixed infection.

Contraindications:

hypersensitivity to any component of the drug; children and adolescence up to 18 years.

Pregnancy and lactation:

The drug is contraindicated in pregnancy and during breastfeeding.

Dosing and Administration:

One tablet is injected daily deep into the vagina in a lying position before going to bed. Before entering the vagina, the tablet should be kept in cold boiled water for 20-30 seconds. After the injection of the tablet should be lying for 10-15 minutes.The average duration of treatment is 6-9 days.

During menstrual bleeding is administered intravaginally according to the usual scheme.

Side effects:

Local reactions: rarely - a burning sensation, local irritation, dryness of the vagina (especially at the beginning of treatment). In some cases, allergic reactions are possible.

Overdose:

Due to the low degree of absorption of components in the systemic blood flow, an overdose is unlikely.

Interaction:

Incompatibilities or interactions of Elgin's active components with other drugs are not described. It is recommended to inform the doctor about simultaneous treatment with other medications.

Special instructions:

In the case of treatment of vaginitis, simultaneous treatment of sexual partners is recommended. Crossover allergization and cross-resistance to aminoglycosides may develop.

Use of the drug for more than 9 days is not recommended.

3 tablets in a contour cell box made of a polyvinylchloride light-protective film and aluminum foil.
