    A.02.A.B.03   Aluminum phosphate

    Pharmacodynamics:

    Has an acid-neutralizing, enveloping, adsorbing action.

    Reduces the proteolytic activity of pepsin. It does not cause alkalization of the gastric juice, keeping the acidity of the gastric contents at the physiological level. Does not lead to secondary hypersecretion of hydrochloric acid. Forms a protective layer on the mucosa of the gastrointestinal tract.Promotes the removal of toxins, gases and microorganisms throughout the digestive tract, normalizes the contents of the intestines.

    Indications:

    - peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum;

    - gastritis with normal or increased secretory function;

    - hernia of the esophageal opening of the diaphragm;

    - gastro-esophageal reflux, reflux-esophagitis, including accompanied by acid reflux, acidic eructations;

    - syndrome of nonulcer dyspepsia;

    - functional diarrhea;

    - functional diseases of the colon;

    - gastric and intestinal disorders caused by intoxication, medication, irritants (acid, alkali), alcohol.

    Contraindications:Severe renal dysfunction, hypersensitivity to the drug.
    Carefully:With caution apply in the presence of kidney disease, cirrhosis, severe heart failure.
    Pregnancy and lactation:

    It is possible to use the drug in therapeutic doses during pregnancy and lactation according to indications.

    Dosing and Administration:

    For adults and children older than 6 years - oral administration of 1-2 bags 2-3 times a day. The scheme of admission depends on the nature of the disease: gastro-esophageal reflux, diaphragmatic hernia - immediately after meals and at night; peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum - 1-2 hours after eating and immediately if pain occurs; gastritis, dyspepsia - before meals; functional disorders of the colon - In the morning on an empty stomach and at night. If pain is resumed in the interval between Fosfalugel receptions, repeat the use of the drug.

    For children younger than 6 months - 1/4 sachet or 1 teaspoon (4 g) after each of 6 feedings; over 6 months - 1/2 packet or 2 teaspoons after each of 4 feedings.

    The drug can be taken in pure form or before dilution in half a glass of water.

    Method of consumption

    Precautions for use

    Do not take the drug for a long time without prescribing a doctor.

    In elderly patients and patients with impaired renal function, when using Phosphalugel in the recommended doses, it is possible to increase the concentration of aluminum in the blood serum.

    Antibiotics of the tetracycline group, iron preparations, cardiac glycosides should be taken no earlier than 2 hours after taking Fosfalugel.

    Side effects:Rarely - constipation (mainly in elderly patients, bedridden patients).
    Overdose:

    Large amounts of aluminum ions inhibit intestinal peristalsis. For the treatment of drug overdosage, laxatives should be used.

    Interaction:

    When using Fosfalugel simultaneously with other medicines, you should consult a doctor, as Fosfalugel reduces the effectiveness of certain drugs.

    Special instructions:

    For constipation, which is rare when taking Fosfalugel, it is recommended to increase the amount of daily consumed water.

    The drug can be used for patients suffering from diabetes.

    The drug can be used prophylactically to reduce the absorption of radioactive elements.

    The use of the drug Fosfalugel does not affect the results of X-ray examination.

    Gel for oral administration.

    Packaging:

    By 16 g or 20 g of gel in heat-sealable multi-layer bags (sachets) made of laminated paper, aluminum foil and high-density polyethylene (inner layer).

    For 16 grams in heat-sealable multi-layer bags (sticks) made of laminated film, including polyester / polyethylene / aluminum sputtering / polyethylene (inner layer). For 6 bags (sticks) or 20 bags (sachets), along with instructions for medical use, put in a cardboard box.

    Storage conditions:

    At a temperature of no higher than 25 ° C.

    Keep out of the reach of children.

    Shelf life:

    3 years. Do not use after the expiry date printed on the package.
