Active components:
Plantain lanceolate leaf extract liquid (1: 5) * (Plantaginis lanceolantae herbae Extractum aquosum, family plantain - Plantaginaceae (1: 5), extractant - water) 1,25 g, mallow flowers extract liquid (1: 5) ** (Malvae sylvestris flos extractum aquosum, Malvaceae family (1: 5), extractant - water) 1 , 25 g, ascorbic acid 65 mg.
Excipients:
Sucrose 4,00 g, methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E218) 9.240 mg, orange oil 12.50 mg.

** Water extract of mallow flowers (1: 5) prepared:
- mallow flowers

The ratio of 1: 5 corresponds to the ratio of medicinal herbs: extract: from 1 part of the medicinal herbs, 5 parts of the extract are obtained.
Description:

The syrup is from brown to reddish brown with a characteristic odor. Insignificant opalescence is allowed.

    • Pharmacodynamics:

    The drug has expectorant, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial (bacteriostatic) action.

    Indications:

    The drug is used in the complex therapy of inflammatory diseases of the upper respiratory tract, accompanied by a dry cough; and also with dry cough of smokers.

    Contraindications:

    Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, diabetes mellitus, congenital intolerance to fructose, syndrome of impaired glucose-galactose absorption, congenital insufficiency of isomaltase sugarase, children under 2 years.

    Pregnancy and lactation:

    Pregnant and lactating women to take the drug is not recommended (due to the lack of data on the safety of the drug in this group of patients).

    Dosing and Administration:

    Inside, the drug is recommended to take, squeezed with enough tea or warm water.

    Adults and children over 14 years of age the drug is prescribed by 2 measuring spoons (10 ml) 3-5 times a day.

    Children aged 7 to 14 years - 1-2 tablespoons (5-10 ml) 3 times a day.

    Children aged 2 to 7 years - 1 scoop (5 ml) 3 times a day.

    The duration of the course of therapy is 2-3 weeks. An increase in the duration or appointment of a second course of therapy is possible after consultation with the doctor.

    Side effects:

    Allergic reactions are possible. In case of side effects, stop taking the medication and consult a doctor.

    Overdose:

    So far, no cases of overdose have been reported.

    Interaction:

    Herbion® plantain syrup should not be used concomitantly with antitussive drugs and drugs that reduce the formation of sputum, as this makes it difficult to cough up thinned phlegm.

    Special instructions:

    In 1 measuring spoonful of syrup (5 ml) contains 4 g of sucrose. Subject to the recommendationthe for the use of the drug specified in the instructions, the patient receives on reception from 4 g (1 measuring spoon) (corresponds to 0,4 bread units) to 8 g (2 measuring spoons) (corresponds to 0,8 bread units) of sucrose.

    Effect on the ability to drive transp. cf. and fur:Herbion® plantain syrup does not affect the ability to drive vehicles and work with machinery.
    Form release / dosage:Syrup.
    Packaging:

    For 150 ml of syrup in a vial of dark glass (type III), sealed with a plastic stopper with a dissector of liquid and a plastic lid with control of the first opening.

    Each bottle is placed in a cardboard box together with a dispensing plastic spoon and instructions for use.

    Storage conditions:

    At a temperature of 15 to 30 ° C.

    Do not store in the refrigerator.

    Keep out of the reach of children.

    Shelf life:

    3 years.

    Do not use the drug after the expiration date.
