Composition:

For one tablet of 0.95 g:

active substance: metronidazole, calculated as 100% metronidazole 0.5 g, neomycin sulfate 65,000 IU, nystatin 100,000 IU, prednisolone sodium phosphate, calculated as 100% prednisolone 0.003 g;

Pharmacodynamics:

Combination drug for topical application in gynecology. Has antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, antiprotozoal, antifungal action; ensures the integrity of the mucous membrane of the vagina and the constancy of the pH.

Metronidazole, a derivative of nitroimidazole, inhibits the synthesis of nucleic acids in the DNA of microorganism cells. Active with respect to Trichomonas vaginalis, Entamoeba Histolytica, Gardnerella vaginalis, Mobilincus, as well as in respect of obligate anaerobes: Bacteroides spp., Fusobacterium spp. Metronidazole is not sensitive to aerobic microorganisms

Neomycin sulfate is a broad-spectrum antibiotic from the aminoglycoside group. It acts bactericidal against Gram-positive (Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus pneumoniae) and Gram-negative (Escherichia coli, Shigella dysenteria spp., Shigella flexneri spp., Shigella boydii spp., Shigella sonnei spp., Proteus spp.) of microorganisms; in a relationship Streptococcus spp. is inactive. The stability of microorganisms develops slowly and to a small extent.

Nystatin - an antifungal antibiotic from the group of polyenes, highly effective against yeast-like fungi of the genus Candida, changes the permeability of cell membranes and slows their growth.

Prednisolone - a dehydrated analog of hydrocortisone, has a pronounced anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic, anti-exsudative action.

The filler composition makes it possible to maintain a constant pH.

Indications:

Treatment of vaginitis caused by microorganisms sensitive to the drug, including:

- bacterial vaginitis,

- trichomoniasis of the vagina;

- vaginitis caused by fungi of the genus Candida;

mixed vaginitis.

Prevention of vaginitis, including:

- before gynecological operations;

- before childbirth and abortion;

- before and after installation of intrauterine devices;

- before and after diathermocoagulation of the cervix;

before hysterography.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to one of the components of the drug.

Pregnancy and lactation:

The use of the drug during pregnancy and lactation is possible only in cases where the potential benefit to the mother exceeds the risk for the fetus or baby.

Dosing and Administration:

One tablet is injected deep into the vagina in a prone position before going to bed. Before entering the vagina, the tablet should be soaked in water for 20-30 seconds. After the introduction, lie down for 10-15 minutes.

The average duration of treatment is 10 days; in the case of confirmed mycosis may be increased to 20 days.

Side effects:

A burning sensation, itching and irritation in the vagina (especially at the beginning of the treatment).

In some cases, allergic reactions are possible.

Special instructions:

In the case of treatment of vaginitis, trichomoniasis, simultaneous treatment of sexual partners is recommended.

Do not stop treatment during menstruation.
