    Pharmacodynamics:

    Interferon alfa-2b inhibits the replication of viruses, disrupts the synthesis of viral DNA, RNA and viral proteins. The drug increases the phagocytic activity of macrophages, potentiates the cytotoxic effect of lymphocytes. It shows pronounced antitumor activity due to antiproliferative properties.

    Loratadine blocks histamine H1-receptors, reduces the permeability of capillaries, prevents the development of edema of tissues, reduces the contractile activity of smooth muscles due to histamine. Has antipruritic, antiallergic and antiexudative action.

    Pharmacokinetics:

    With intranasal application, the concentration of active substances achieved in blood plasma is well below the detection limit by modern analytical methods and is not of clinical significance.

    Indications:

    All-year-round allergic rhinitis.

    Year-round allergic conjunctivitis.

    Pollinosis.

    Prevention and treatment of influenza and acute respiratory viral infections as part of complex therapy in adults.

    Dosing and Administration:

    Locally, externally.

    When allergic rhinitis it is recommended to apply the drug by applying 1 cm of gel to the mucous membrane of each nasal passage 4 times a day for 5-7 days in the acute stage, followed by a decrease in the frequency of application of the drug until the clinical picture of the disease disappears.After applying the gel, massage the nose wings with your fingers to distribute the drug evenly on the mucous membrane of the nasal passages.

    When allergic conjunctivitis it is recommended to apply the drug by applying 1 cm of gel to the skin of the upper and lower eyelids 4 times a day for 5-7 days in the acute stage, followed by a decrease in the frequency of application of the drug to the disappearance of the clinical picture of the disease.

    After the disappearance of clinical symptoms, the use of the drug is recommended to be discontinued. The maximum continuous course of treatment should not exceed 6 weeks.

    For treatment of influenza and ARVI 5 times a day lubricate the nasal mucosa, releasing 1 cm of the drug in each nasal passage for 7 days.

    For prevention of influenza and ARVI (after contact with the sick person) 1 time a day (in the morning) lubricate the nasal mucosa, releasing 1 cm of the drug in each nasal passage for 7 days.

    Before applying the ointment, it is necessary to clean the nasal cavity, and after application - to massage the wings of the nose for better distribution of the ointment on the surface of the nasal mucosa.

    Side effects:

    Itching, sneezing, temporary disturbance of smell.

    Interaction:

    The drug is compatible with other antihistamines.

    The use of intranasal vasoconstrictive drugs in conjunction with the drug interferon alpha-2b with loratadine is not recommended, since this contributes to an additional drying of the nasal mucosa.

    When applying the drug, avoid contact with cosmetics.
