Pharmacodynamics:Complexing compound. Strongly binds radioactive isotopes of cesium, rubidium and thallium, preventing their absorption from the intestine, which allows them to accelerate their excretion from the body.
Pharmacokinetics:It is not absorbed in the intestine and is completely eliminated from the body.
Indications:- intoxication with radioisotopes of cesium, rubidium and thallium (including products of uranium fission);
- Prevention of accumulation of radioisotopes in the body when entering the gastrointestinal tract with food.

Contraindications:Hypersensitivity.
Pregnancy and lactation:Adequate and well-controlled studies on humans and animals have not been conducted. There is no information on the penetration into breast milk. The category of FDA recommendations is not defined.
Dosing and Administration:Inside adults and children over 14 years of age 1 g 3 times daily, treatment up to 30 days (under the control of excretion of radionuclides), children over 3 years - 500 mg each 3 times a day for 5-10 days. The preparation in powder form for the preparation of the suspension is dissolved in 100 ml of water.
Side effects:Allergic reactions, constipation, diarrhea.
Overdose:Not described. Treatment is symptomatic.
Interaction:Reduces the effect of drugs containing alkaline metals, a simultaneous appointment with diuretics can lead to hypokalemia.
