Composition:

Active substances (contents in one bottle): chlorobutanol hemihydrate, synthetic camphor, L-menthol (levomenthol), eucalyptus oil 0.1 g.

Excipients: isopropyl myristate 9.6 g, propellant R 134a (1,1,1,2-tetrafluoroethane) 20.0 g.

The drug does not contain chlorofluorocarbon propellants (CFCs).

Description:

    • Pharmacodynamics:

    Cameton is a combined preparation for topical application, the effect of which is determined by its constituent components. Has a local anti-inflammatory, antiseptic and moderate local anesthetic effect.

    Chlorobutanol has a mild local anesthetic, anti-inflammatory and antiseptic effect.

    Camphor has an irritating and partly antiseptic effect, increases blood flow at the site of application.

    Levomenthol has a local irritating effect, accompanied by a feeling of cold. An irritating (distracting) effect helps to eliminate pain.It also has weak antiseptic properties.

    Eucalyptus oil has a stimulating effect on the receptors of the mucous membranes, it also has a weak local anti-inflammatory and antiseptic activity. The combination of these pharmacological properties provides a comprehensive pathogenetic therapy for inflammatory diseases of the upper respiratory tract.

    Pharmacokinetics:Due to low systemic absorption, there is no data on the pharmacokinetics of the drug.
    Indications:
    Combined therapy of infectious and inflammatory diseases of ENT organs (rhinitis, tonsillitis, pharyngitis, laryngitis).
    Contraindications:Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug. Children under 5 years.
    Pregnancy and lactation:

    Sufficient experience in the use of the drug during pregnancy and lactation is not present. If you need to use the drug during pregnancy, you should evaluate the potential benefit to the mother and the possible risk to the fetus.

    Due to low systemic absorption of the components that make up the drug, it is possible to use it during breastfeeding.

    Dosing and Administration:

    The drug is used topically.Prior to use, a protective cap is removed from the spray gun, when using the balloon, hold it vertically so that the spray gun is on top; you can not use the balloon in an inverted state. After applying the drug to the nebulizer, wear a protective cap.

    For treatment of rhinitis, the nose must first be cleaned of mucus, then inject the sprayer to a depth of 0.5 cm. Spraying, the drug Kameton aerosol should be carried out in the "inspiration" phase by pressing the base of the nebulizer with the thumb and forefinger from top to bottom. For one application in adults, 2-3 sprays are applied to each nostril, in children aged 5 to 12 years - 1 spraying, in children from 12 to 15 years - 1-2 sprays. The frequency of application is 3-4 times a day. The course of treatment is 7-10 days. In the treatment of inflammatory diseases of the pharynx and larynx (tonsillitis, pharyngitis, laryngitis), the spray nozzle is injected into the oral cavity. The drug should be used after eating, after rinsing the mouth with warm boiled water. Spray the drug in this case, regardless of the phase of "inspiration" or "expiration".For one application in adults, 2-4 sprays are applied to the right and left, in children aged 5 to 12 years - 1 spraying, in children aged 12 to 15 years - 1-2 sprays. The frequency of application is 3-4 times a day. The course of treatment is 7-10 days.

    Side effects:

    Possible individual intolerance, allergic reactions in the form of skin rashes, which pass independently after drug withdrawal.

    With the use of the drug, sensations of slight burning and tingling are possible.

    Interaction:
    Systemic effects when using the drug for the intended purpose are practically excluded, which allows the simultaneous use of other drugs without the danger of their interaction with the components of the drug.
    Special instructions:

    When spraying in the nasal cavity, do not tip your head and turn the bottle upside down. It is not recommended to use the same ballon several individuals to avoid the spread of infection. When spraying the drug, avoid contact with eyes.
