Pharmacodynamics:

Combined antiglaucoma preparation. Does not irritate the conjunctiva, does not affect the accommodation and the diameter of the pupil.

Clonidine

When topical application stimulates α2-adrenoceptors of the eye. This reduces the production of intraocular fluid and causes an anesthetic effect.

Butylamine hydroxypropoxyphenoxymethyl methyl oxadiazole

Selectively blocks α1- and β-adrenergic receptors, reducing the secretion of the intraocular fluid and improving its outflow.

Pharmacokinetics:

After instillation after 15-20 minutes, a therapeutic effect occurs, reaching a maximum in 2-6 hours and lasting for 24 hours.

The drug is not absorbed into the total blood flow and does not have systemic effects on the body.

Indications:

It is used to treat all types of primary and secondary glaucoma: open-angle, closed-angle, post-traumatic, medication-induced.

Contraindications:

Age to 18 years, bronchial asthma, type I diabetes mellitus, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, atrioventricular blockade of II-III degree, pregnancy and lactation, individual intolerance.

Carefully:

Arterial hypotension.

Pregnancy and lactation:

Recommendations for FDA - Category C. Contraindicated in pregnancy and lactation.

Dosing and Administration:

1 drop in the conjunctival sac 2 times a day. In combination with pilocarpine - 1-3 times a day.

Side effects:

Central and peripheral nervous system: drowsiness, rarely - dizziness.

Respiratory system: bronchospasm.

The cardiovascular system: aetiology.

Sense organs: burning after instillation for a few seconds.

Allergic reactions.

Overdose:

Cases of overdose are not described.

Treatment is symptomatic.

Interaction:

Strengthens and prolongs the action of pilocarpine.
