Composition:

Active substances: ambroxol hydrochloride (ambroxol) 20 mg, trisodium salt glycyrrhizic acid (sodium glycyrrhizinate) 30 mg, thermopsis extract dry 10 mg, sodium hydrogen carbonate 200 mg;

Excipients: potato starch, microcrystalline cellulose, povidone K 25 (kollidon K 25), talc, stearic acid, carboxymethyl starch sodium (sodium starch glycolate, primogel).

    • Pharmacodynamics:

    Combined drug for treating cough, has mucolytic and expectorant effect, and also has anti-inflammatory activity. The action of Codelac® Broncho is due to the pharmacological properties of its components.

    Ambroxol has secretory, secretolitic and expectorant action, normalizes the disturbed ratio of serous and mucous components of sputum, increases the secretion of surfactant in the alveoli. Reduces the viscosity of sputum and promotes its spillage.

    Glycyrrhate (glycyrrhizic acid and its salts) has an anti-inflammatory and antiviral effect.Has a cytoprotective effect due to antioxidant and membrane-stabilizing activity. Potentiates the action of endogenous glucocorticosteroids, providing anti-inflammatory and anti-allergic action. Due to its pronounced anti-inflammatory activity, it helps to reduce the inflammatory process in the respiratory tract.

    Extract of thermopsis has an expectorant effect, having a moderate irritant effect on receptors of the gastric mucosa, reflexively increases the secretion of the bronchial glands.

    Sodium bicarbonate shifts the pH of bronchial mucus to the alkaline side, reduces the viscosity of sputum, stimulates the motor function of the ciliated epithelium and bronchioles.

    Indications:

    Diseases of the respiratory tract with difficulty of sputum discharge: acute and chronic bronchitis, pneumonia, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), bronchoectatic disease.

    Contraindications:

    Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, pregnancy, lactation, children under 12 years.

    Carefully:

    Hepatic and / or renal failure, gastric ulcer and 12-colon, bronchial asthma.

    Dosing and Administration:

    Inside, during a meal.

    Adults and children over 12 years of age: 1 tablet 3 times a day.

    It is not recommended to use without medical appointment for more than 4-5 days.

    Side effects:

    Allergic reactions.

    Rarely - weakness, headache, diarrhea, dry mouth and respiratory tract, exanthema, rhinorrhea, constipation, dysuria.

    With prolonged use in high doses - gastralgia, nausea, vomiting.

    Overdose:

    Symptoms: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, indigestion.

    Treatment: symptomatic, gastric lavage is advisable in the first 1-2 hours after taking the drug.

    Interaction:

    Joint use with antitussive drugs leads to difficulty in getting away from sputum while reducing the cough.

    The drug increases the penetration into the bronchial secret of antibiotics.

    Special instructions:

    Do not combine with antitussive.
