Composition:

Composition for 5 ml of elixir.

Active substances: ambroxol hydrochloride - 10 mg, trisodium salt glycyrrhizic acid (sodium glycyrrhizinate) - 30 mg, thyme extract liquid - 500 mg.

Excipients: methylparahydroxybenzoate (nipagin) 3.75 mg, propylparahydrokebenzoate (nipazole) 1.25 mg, sorbitol (sorbitol) -3000 mg, purified water up to 5 ml.

Description:Fluid from light brown to brown. In the course of storage, the formation of a precipitate is allowed.

    • Pharmacodynamics:

    Combined drug for treating cough, has mucolytic and expectorant effect, and also has anti-inflammatory activity. The action of the elixir Codelac® Broncho with thyme is due to the pharmacological properties of its components:

    ambroxol has secretory, secretolitic and expectorant action, normalizes the disturbed ratio of serous and mucous components of sputum, increases the secretion of surfactant in the alveoli. Reduces the viscosity of sputum and promotes its spillage;

    glycyrrhate (glycyrrhizic acid and its salts) has an anti-inflammatory and antiviral effect. Has a cytoprotective effect: due to antioxidant and membrane-stabilizing activity. Strengthens the action of endogenous glucocorticosteroids, providing anti-inflammatory and anti-allergic action. Due to its pronounced anti-inflammatory activity, it helps to reduce the inflammatory process in the respiratory tract;

    herbal extract of thyme contains a mixture of essential oils that have an expectorant and anti-inflammatory effect. In addition, the herb extract of thyme has weak spasmolytic and reparative properties.

    Indications:

    Diseases of the respiratory tract with the formation of viscous sputum: acute and chronic bronchitis, pneumonia, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), bronchoectatic disease.

    Contraindications:

    Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, children under 2 years, pregnancy, lactation.

    Carefully:

    Hepatic and / or renal failure, peptic ulcer disease stomach and duodenum, bronchial asthma.

    Pregnancy and lactation:The use of Codelac® Broncho with thyme elixir is contraindicated in pregnancy. If it is necessary to take the drug during breastfeeding, breast-feeding should be discontinued.
    Dosing and Administration:

    Inside, during a meal, with a little water.

    Adults and children over 12 years of age - 10 ml 4 times a day.

    Children from 2 to 6 years are prescribed 2.5 ml of elixir 3 times a day, from 6 to 12 years - 5 ml 3 times a day.

    The maximum duration of treatment without a doctor's consultation is 5 days.

    Side effects:

    Allergic reactions.

    Rarely - weakness, headache, diarrhea, dry mouth and respiratory tract, exanthema, rhinorrhea, constipation, dysuria.

    With prolonged use in high doses - gastralgia, nausea, vomiting.

    Overdose:

    Symptoms: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, indigestion.

    Treatment: artificial vomiting, gastric lavage in the first 1-2 hours after taking the drug.

    Interaction:

    Joint use with antitussive drugs leads to difficulty in sputum discharge.

    Special instructions:

    Do not combine with antitussive agents

    Patients with diabetes can use the drug taking into account the content of sorbitol in an amount of 0.18 XE in 5 ml of elixir.

    Effect on the ability to drive transp. cf. and fur:

    The drug does not affect the ability to drive vehicles and various mechanisms, as well as to engage in other potentially dangerous activities that require increased attention and speed of psychomotor and motor reactions.

    Packaging:

    For 50, 100, 125 and 200 ml in bottles of dark glass.

    One bottle with instructions for use and a measuring spoon is placed in a pack of cardboard.

    Storage conditions:

    Store at a temperature not exceeding 25 ° C.

    Shelf life:

    3 years. Do not use after the expiration date printed on the package.
