    Combined remedy for cold symptoms:

    - caffeine enhances the effect of analgesics, eliminates drowsiness and fatigue, increases physical and mental performance;

    - paracetamol has an analgesic and antipyretic effect;

    - Phenylephrine has a moderate vasoconstrictive effect, eliminates swelling and redness of the mucous membrane of the nasal cavity, nasopharynx and paranasal sinuses.

    Contraindications:

    Dosing and Administration:

    Take 1 packet 3-4 times a day 1-2 hours after eating with a lot of liquid. The interval between admission is 4-6 hours. The maximum daily dose is 4 sachets, the duration of the course of treatment is 5 days.

    Side effects:

    Allergic reactions: skin rash, itching, hives, angioedema.

    Nervous system: dizziness, falling asleep, increased excitability.

    The cardiovascular system: rise blood pressure, tachycardia.

    Digestive system: nausea, vomiting, pain in the stomach, dry mouth, hepatotoxic effect.

    Blood: anemia, thrombocytopenia, agranulocytosis, hemolytic anemia, aplastic anemia, methemoglobinemia, pancytopenia.

    Overdose:

    It appears after taking more than 10-15 g of paracetamol with pale skin, anorexia, nausea, vomiting; an increase in the activity of hepatic transaminases, an increase in prothrombin time. In cases of overdose, it is necessary to urgently consult a doctor. Therapy: gastric lavage followed by administration of activated charcoal; symptomatic therapy, the introduction of methionine 8-9 hours after an overdose and N-acetylcysteine ​​- after 12 hours.

    Interaction:

    The simultaneous administration of halothane with the drug increases the risk of ventricular arrhythmia.

    At simultaneous appointment with carbamazepine, phenytoin or rifampicin, the risk of hepatotoxic action of paracetamol increases.

    When combined, the drug enhances the effects of ethanol.

    Special instructions:

    Consultation with a doctor is necessary in case of taking metoclopramide, domperidone, colestyramine, anticoagulants (warfarin).During treatment should refrain from taking alcohol, sleeping pills and anxiolytic (tranquilizers) medicines. Do not take with other medicines containing paracetamol. If the symptoms do not go away within 3-5 days, consult a doctor. To avoid toxic damage to the liver paracetamol should not be combined with the reception of alcoholic beverages, and also to people who are prone to chronic alcohol use. Care should be taken when performing work that requires concentration of attention, increased speed of motor and mental reactions.
