Composition:

10 grams of solution contains:

active ingredients: salicylic acid - 2.0 g, lactic acid - 0.5 g, polidocanol 600 - 0.2 g;

  • Pharmacodynamics:

    Salicylic acid - keratolytic agent, causes desquamation and destruction of the epithelium. Has a weak antimicrobial activity.

    Lactic acid affects the process of keratinization, contributes to the chemical destruction of warts.

    Polydocanol has a local anesthetic effect and sclerosing effect.

    Pharmacokinetics:

    Studies of the pharmacokinetics of the drug in humans have not been conducted.

    Indications:

    Warts, corns, keratinization of skin, calligraphy, genital warts, hyperkeratosis syndrome with psoriasis (including palmar-plantar).

    Contraindications:

    Hypersensitivity to salicylic acid or other components of the drug.

    Children up to 1 year.

    Do not apply to birthmarks, hairy warts, warts in the genital area or face.

    Do not use if you have a kidney function (kidney failure).

    Pregnancy and lactation:

    During pregnancy, the use of Collomac is permissible only when applied to a limited surface (no more than 5 cm2).

    When using Kolllomak according to the indications, it is permissible to continue breastfeeding during treatment. Avoid accidental ingestion of the drug by oral contact with treated body surfaces.

    Dosing and Administration:

    Kollomak is intended for external use only!

    For application use a brush (stick-wax) inside the lid of the bottle.

    Kollomak should be applied to the affected areas of the skin one drop 1-2 times a day. In adults the daily dose should not exceed 2.0 grams of salicylic acid, which roughly corresponds to 10.0 ml of the Collomac solution; in children the daily dose should not exceed 0.2 g of salicylic acid, which roughly corresponds to 1.0 ml of the Collomac solution. When using the drug in children, several areas of the skin should not be treated simultaneously.

    Duration of treatment: as a rule, after 3-4 days, you can remove corns and calluses.When applying the maximum allowable daily dose (10.0 ml in adults and 1.0 ml in children), the duration of treatment should not exceed 1 week.

    In the presence of multiple foci of skin lesions, the treatment with Collomac should be carried out in several stages, at intervals.

    During the procedure, there may be moderate redness and rarely swelling on healthy skin around the site of application, which disappears without a trace 24-48 hours after completion of the procedure. These phenomena are considered normal, no additional treatment is required. In case of pain, treatment should be interrupted. Within a few days, the treated area acquires a dark brown hue with the formation of a scab. In case of unsatisfactory results, you can repeat the procedure in a few days.

    Do not remove the scab, it should fall off on its own (otherwise it may damage the healing of tissues).

    Side effects:

    There may be burning, redness of the skin.

    With individual sensitivity to the components of the drug, allergic reactions are possible.

    If any of the side effects listed in the manual are aggravated, or if you notice any other side effects not listed in the instructions, tell your doctor.

    With the development of allergic reactions, the drug should be discontinued.

    Overdose:

    With external application of salicylic acid preparations, one should not normally expect toxic side effects, even in the case of an unintended short-term excess of the indicated maximum dosages. There may be local skin irritation. As a countermeasure, it is sufficient to remove the drug.

    In case of accidental ingestion, immediately rinse mouth with plenty of water and seek medical advice.

    Interaction:

    Salicylic acid can increase skin permeability for other topical medicines and thereby increase their absorption, and also increase the side effects of methotrexate and the hypoglycemic effect of oral hypoglycemic agents such as sulfanylurea.

    Special instructions:

    Collomac can not be applied to mucous membranes, in particular, avoid contact with the eyes. If this happens, then should be rinse the area with plenty of water.

    After use, you should close the bottle tightly!

    Colllomac should be applied accurately, avoiding getting it on the surrounding healthy areas. To protect the surrounding tissue, if necessary, it is recommended to use protective paste, ointment, cream.
