Composition:

Nettle leaves.

Characteristic

Nettle leaves contain vitamin K, ascorbic acid, carotenoids, chlorophyll,tannins, pantothenic acid, flavonoids, organic acids, macro and microelements and other biologically active substances.

Description:

Pieces of leaves of various shapes passing through a sieve with apertures measuring 7 mm. The color is dark green. The smell is weak. The taste of water extract is bitterish.

  • Pharmacodynamics:

    Infusion of nettle leaves has hemostatic effect, increases the tone of the uterus.

    Indications:

    Abundant menstrual bleeding as part of complex therapy, uncommon bleeding during post-coagulation period of cervical erosion treatment.

    Contraindications:

    Individual intolerance; hypercoagulation, bleeding (for diseases requiring surgery and tumors); pregnancy; children under 12 years.

    Carefully:

    With renal failure.

    Pregnancy and lactation:Possible application in the period of breastfeeding, if the expected benefit for the mother exceeds the potential risk for the child. It is necessary to consult a doctor.
    Dosing and Administration:

    About 5 g (1 tablespoon) of nettle leaves are placed in a glass or enamel ware, pour 100 ml (1/2 cup) of hot boiled water. Cover and heat on a boiling water bath for 15 minutes, cool at room temperature for 45 minutes, filter, the remaining raw material is squeezed. The volume of the infusion obtained is adjusted to 200 ml with boiled water.

    Take in the form of infusion: adults and children from 12 years to 1 tablespoon 3-4 times a day for 30 minutes before meals.

    Before use, the infusion is recommended to be shaken.

    Side effects:

    Hypercoagulation.

    Cases of overdose have not been registered to date.
