Characteristic

Columns with stigmas of corn contain vitamin K and C, sitosterol, stigiasterol, fatty oils, essential oil, carotenoids, saponins, and other biologically active substances.

Composition:

Corn posts with stigmas.

Description:Threadlike slices of sticks and stigmas passing through a sieve with apertures 3 mm in size. The color is brown, brownish, light yellow. The smell is weak, peculiar. Taste of water extract with a sensation of mucous.

    • Pharmacodynamics:Decoction of corn stalks with stigmas has a choleretic, diuretic and hemostatic effect.
    Indications:Chronic hepatitis, non-calculous cholecystitis, dyskinesia of the biliary tract along the hypomotor type; edematous syndrome of mild severity.
    Contraindications:Hypersensitivity to the drug; cholelithiasis, increased blood coagulability, thrombosis, thrombophlebitis, pregnancy, lactation, children under 12 years.
    Dosing and Administration:About 10 g (2 tbsp.spoons) of raw materials are placed in enameled dishes, pour 200 ml (1 glass) of hot boiled water, cover with a lid and heat on boiling water bath for 30 minutes, cool at room temperature for 10 minutes, filter, the remaining raw material is squeezed. The volume of the resulting broth is brought boiled water to 200 ml. Take 15-45 ml (1-3 tablespoons) every 3-4 hours. It is recommended to stir the broth before use.
    Side effects:Allergic reactions are possible; increased blood coagulability.
    Overdose:Cases of overdose have not been registered to date.
