B.05.B.B Solutions affecting the water-electrolyte balance

Pharmacodynamics:

Combined preparation for correction of water-electrolyte composition of blood, elimination of metabolic acidosis and normalization of acid-base state.

Indications:

- Shock (complex treatment), thermal trauma, acute blood loss; hypohydration (isotonic and hypotonic forms);

- metabolic acidosis (incl.in acute intestinal infections with dehydration);

- acute diffuse peritonitis;

- intestinal obstruction (for correction of water and salt balance); electrolyte disturbances in patients with intestinal fistulas; therapeutic plasmapheresis (dialysis-filtration method).

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity, alkalosis, hypertonic dehydration; chronic heart failure, cerebral edema.

Dosing and Administration:

Intravenously, drip.

Adults - at a rate of 60-80 cap / min (a jet injection is allowed), daily dose of 5-20 ml / kg, if necessary - 30-40 ml / kg.

The daily dose for children is 5-10 ml / kg, the rate of administration is 30-60 cap / min.

The course of treatment is 3-5 days.

In the therapeutic plasmapheresis is introduced in a double volume in comparison with the removed plasma (1,2-2,4 l), in combination with colloidal solutions (in the case of pronounced hypovolemia).

Side effects:

Allergic reactions.

Special instructions:

In the treatment of severe hypovolemia, simultaneous therapy with colloidal solutions, blood and its components (due to the brief action of quintasol) is recommended.

Form release / dosage:

Solution for infusions in bottles of glass of 200 ml and 400 ml.

Packaging:

200 ml and 400 ml in glass bottles, corked with rubber stoppers and crimped with aluminum caps.

24 or 28 bottles of 200 ml and 12 or 15 bottles of 400 ml with instructions for use on the number of bottles placed in boxes of corrugated cardboard (for hospitals).

Storage conditions:

In a dry place inaccessible to children, at a temperature not exceeding 25 ° C.

Freezing the drug is not a contraindication to its use.

Shelf life:

2 years. Do not use after the expiration date printed on the package.
