    Pharmacodynamics:

    Has sclerosing, local anesthetic action. Causes denaturation of proteins in endothelial cells, stimulates the formation of connective tissue within the vessels for 7 days. It affects nerve endings, interrupting painful impulses, providing painless sclerotherapy.

    Pharmacokinetics:

    It binds to blood plasma proteins by 64%. The half-life is 4 hours. When re-introduction does not cumulate.

    Indications:

    It is used for sclerosing varicose veins of the esophagus, stomach, lower limbs, as well as hemorrhoids, telangiectasis of peripheral and central veins.

    Contraindications:

    Shock, myocarditis, endocarditis, chronic heart failure in the stage of decompensation, bronchial asthma, diabetic microangiopathy.

    Individual intolerance.

    Pregnancy and lactation:

    Recommendations for FDA - Category B. Contraindicated in I trimester of pregnancy and after 36 weeks. It is recommended to suspend breastfeeding for 2-3 days after the injection of the drug.

    Dosing and Administration:

    Doses of the drug are selected individually, depending on the location of varicose veins and their extent.

    Sclerotherapy of telangiectasias: 0.1-0.2 ml of 0.5% solution per injection.

    Sclerozirovanie varicose veins of the lower limbs - the introduction of the drug is only in the horizontal position of the patient, with raised to 30-450 feet.

    For the purpose of sclerosing hemorrhoids, a 3% solution is used, the first dose is 0.5-2 ml under the mucosa above the node. Re-introduction is shown after 1-2 weeks and is 3 ml of a 3% solution.

    The highest daily dose: 2 mg / kg.

    The highest single dose: 2 mg / kg.

    Side effects:

    Local reactions: necrosis, pain at the injection site.

    Common reactions: fever, dizziness, dyspnea.

    Allergic reactions.

    Overdose:

    Cases of overdose are not described.

    Interaction:

    Simultaneous use with drugs for anesthesia can trigger arrhythmia.

    Special instructions:

    It is not used in bedridden patients. Intraarterial administration is not permissible.After sclerotherapy of the veins on the legs, it is recommended to wear an elastic bandage for 4-6 weeks.
