Composition:

Flax seeds.

Description:

The seeds are flattened, ovoid in shape, pointed at one end and rounded from the other, unequal, up to 6 mm long, up to 3 mm thick.The surface of the seeds is smooth, shiny, with a light yellow, clearly visible seminal scar. The color of the seeds is from light yellow to dark brown.

The smell is absent. The taste of water extract is mucus-oily.

  • Pharmacodynamics:

    The flax seed contains mucus, fatty oil, protein substances, vitamin A, organic acids, glycoside linamarin and other biologically active substances.

    Infusion of flax seeds has an enveloping, anti-inflammatory and mild laxative effect.

    The seeds swollen in water have a laxative effect.

    Indications:

    In complex therapy with inflammatory and ulcerative lesions of the mucous membrane of the gastrointestinal tract (inflammation of the esophagus - esophagitis, peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum, enteritis, colitis, gastritis).

    Constipation.

    Contraindications:

    Hypersensitivity to the drug, dyspepsia (diarrhea), acute cystitis, chronic cholecystitis (exacerbation), children under 12 years.

    Pregnancy and lactation:

    Application in pregnancy and during breastfeeding is not recommended, due to the lack of sufficient clinical observations.

    Dosing and Administration:

    Infusion of flax seeds and seeds swollen in water are used inside.

    For the preparation of the infusion: 1.5 teaspoons of whole seeds are placed in enamel ware, poured into 200 ml (1 cup) of hot boiled water, stirred for 15 minutes, filtered, the remaining raw materials (water-swollen seeds) are squeezed.

    To get swollen seeds: 1 teaspoon of seeds pour 2 teaspoons of boiling water, mix, leave for 15 minutes to swell.

    With inflammatory and ulcerative lesions of the mucous membrane of the gastrointestinal tract: the obtained infusion is taken orally by 1/4 cup 3 times a day for 30 minutes before meals. The course of treatment is 2-3 weeks.

    With constipation: Flax seeds swollen in water take 1-3 teaspoons inward, with enough water, 2-3 times a day.

    Side effects:

    Allergic reactions.

    In rare cases, nausea, in the early days of the reception - a mushy stool.

    Overdose:Cases of overdose have not been registered to date.
    Interaction:

    With caution with drugs that slow intestinal peristalsis (loperamide, opiates).

    Special instructions:

    Use only freshly prepared flaxseed and seeds swollen in water!

    If symptoms of constipation persist while taking the drug within 3 days, you should consult your doctor.
