Composition:

Active substance - tetramethyltetraazabicyclooctanedione (mebicar) 500 mg; Excipients - potato starch, calcium stearate.

Description:Round tablets of white color with a risk.
Pharmacotherapeutic group:Anxiolytic agent (tranquilizer)
Pharmacodynamics:

The drug refers to gschsioliticheskim, stress-protective, nootropic drugs. Improves the oxygen supply of myocardial tissue; normalizes the disturbed electrolyte balance of blood, the content of potassium ions in plasma, erythrocytes and myocardial cells; promotes the enhancement of protein synthesis and the increase in energy resources of the cell.

Regulates disturbed sleep at night, without direct sedative action. Has no cholinolytic and muscle relaxant effect, does not violate the coordination of movements. Relieves or removes nicotine withdrawal.

Pharmacokinetics:It is excreted completely in the urine within 24 hours.
Indications:

It is used in adults:

- For the prevention of stressful effects, in order to increase the functional reserves of the body in situations of extreme stress, to improve thinking, memory, concentration, mental and physical performance.

- For the treatment of neurotic disorders (irritability, emotional lability, anxiety, anxiety-depressive, phobic, panic disorders), developed as a result of exhausting psycho-emotional, neuropsychic and physical exertion.

- In complex therapy for the treatment of patients with cardialgia, ischemic heart disease and rehabilitation after myocardial infarction.

- To reduce the craving for tobacco smoking; with neurosis-like conditions in patients with alcoholism, to reduce the pathological attraction to alcohol and psychoactive substances; to improve the tolerability of neuroleptics and tranquilizers.

Contraindications:Hypersensitivity to the active ingredient or auxiliary components.
Pregnancy and lactation:The active substance of the drug penetrates well into all tissues and body fluids. There are not enough clinical observations on the use of the drug during pregnancy and during lactation, so it is not recommended to prescribe the drug.
Dosing and Administration:

Course for prevention and treatment: inside, 1-2 tablets 2-3 times a day, (regardless of food intake).The maximum single dose - 6 tablets, daily - 20 tablets. The duration of the course for prevention and treatment from several days to 2-3 months, depending on the situation, for mental illnesses up to 6 months. In complex therapy as a means of reducing the craving for tobacco smoking, 1-2 tablets 3 times a day for 5-6 weeks.

Side effects:Allergic reactions (skin itching), with high doses - a short-term insignificant decrease in blood pressure, hypothermia (a decrease in body temperature by 1-1.5 ° C), dyspeptic disorders. Reducing blood pressure and body temperature are not indications: to cancel the drug and normalize yourself.
Overdose:The drug is low toxicity. If you suspect an overdose, call a doctor, conduct conventional methods of detoxification, including gastric lavage.
Interaction:

Intensifies the effect of sleeping pills and narcotic drugs.
