    Pharmacodynamics:

    Synthetic analogue of guanine with antiviral effect. Inhibits the replication of genomic fragments and the synthesis of viral RNA.

    Pharmacokinetics:

    After oral administration, it is rapidly absorbed in the gastrointestinal tract. The maximum concentration in the blood plasma is reached after 1-1.5 hours.

    The half-life is 1-1.5 hours. Elimination by the kidneys.

    Indications:

    It is used to treat influenza in adults.

    Contraindications:

    Severe renal and hepatic insufficiency.

    Individual intolerance.

    Carefully:

    High individual sensitivity to the drug.

    Pregnancy and lactation:Recommendations for FDA - Category C. Contraindicated during pregnancy and lactation.
    Dosing and Administration:

    Inside, regardless of the time of food intake, 250 mg (1 capsule) 3 times / day. The course of treatment is 5-7 days.

    The highest daily dose: 750 mg.

    The highest single dose: 250 mg.

    Side effects:

    Dyspeptic disorders, allergic reactions.

    Overdose:

    Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea.

    Treatment is symptomatic.

    Interaction:

    Simultaneous use with analogs of pyrimidine and purine bases may lead to an increase in the toxicity of the preparation.

    When used simultaneously with ribavin, a dose reduction of ribavin is necessary.

    Special instructions:

    The use of the drug gives a positive effect when taken no later than the second day after the onset of the disease.
