Pharmacodynamics:An analogue of a fragment of adrenocorticotropic hormone, devoid of hormonal activity. It has a neurometabolic effect, which manifests itself even with the use of small doses of the drug. At higher doses, it has antihypoxic, angioprotective, antioxidant and neurotrophic effects.
It improves the processes of remembering and analyzing information, contributes to the inclusion of the synthesis of growth regulators and the differentiation of neural tissue - neurotrophins. Does not show toxicity in long-term use. Does not cause local irritation of the mucous membranes.
Pharmacokinetics:After installation in the nasal cavity up to 70% is absorbed through the mucous membranes. Quickly distributed to all organs and tissues. Penetrates through the blood-brain barrier. When ingested, it is metabolized in the liver, eliminated by the kidneys.
Indications:It is used for intellectual-mnestic disorders due to cerebral vascular lesions, conditions after anesthesia and neurosurgical operations, craniocerebral trauma.
Used to prevent mental disorders in people in stressful situations.
In ophthalmology it is used for the treatment of atrophy of the optic nerve.

Contraindications:Acute psychosis, convulsive syndrome (including, in the anamnesis).

Children under 18 in neurosurgical and ophthalmic practice.
Pregnancy and lactation:Recommendations for FDA - are not defined. No studies have been conducted. Data on the ingestion of the drug in breast milk is not available. The use is contraindicated during pregnancy and lactation.
Dosing and Administration:2-3 drops in each nasal passage 2-3 times a day.
The highest daily dose: 2 mg (0.3 μg / kg).
The highest single dose: 2 mg (0.3 μg / kg).
In the treatment of stroke, the highest daily dose is 18 mg.
Side effects:Rarely - irritation of the nasal mucosa.
Allergic reactions.
Overdose:Cases of overdose are not marked.
Interaction:It is not recommended simultaneous use with local vasoconstrictive drugs.
Special instructions:One drop of 1% solution contains 50 μg of active substance. If it is necessary to increase the dosage, it is recommended to use the drug in several doses at intervals of 10-15 minutes.
