Composition:

Peppermint leaves.

Characteristic

They contain essential oil not less than 1%, which includes menthol about 50%, flavonoids, tannins, carotenoids and other biologically active substances.

Description:

Pieces of leaves of green, brownish-green and yellowish-brown or grayish green with shiny, golden-yellow or darker glands, glabrous or with sparse white simple hairs pressed along veins.

    • Pharmacodynamics:

    Infusion of peppermint leaves has spasmolytic, calming, choleretic, antiemetic and locally irritating effects.

    Indications:

    Spasm of smooth muscles of the gastrointestinal tract, nausea, vomiting.

    Contraindications:

    Hypersensitivity to the drug, early childhood (up to 3 years).

    Dosing and Administration:
