Characteristic

Leaves of peppermint contain flavonoids, essential oil, carotenoids and other biologically active substances.

Description:

A mixture of pieces of leaves, stems, rarely - flowers and buds. Color from light green to dark green or greenish-brown with greenish-violet, gray-white, yellowish-white, brownish-white, pale violet, brownish-violet, dark brown, violet, black impregnations. The smell is strong, fragrant. The taste of water extract is burning, cooling.

    • Pharmacodynamics:

    Infusion of peppermint leaves leaves spasmolytic, soothing, choleretic, antiemetic and locally irritating effect.

    Indications:

    Symptomatic therapy: spasms of smooth muscles of the gastrointestinal tract, nausea, vomiting.

    Contraindications:

    Hypersensitivity to the drug, early childhood (up to 3 years).

    Pregnancy and lactation:Application during pregnancy and during breastfeeding is possible if the expected benefit to the mother exceeds the potential risk to the fetus and the baby. It is necessary to consult a doctor.
    Dosing and Administration:

    2 filter packets (3.0 g) are placed in a glass or enamel ware, pour 100 ml (1/2 cup) of boiling water, cover and insist 15 minutes, periodically pressing on the bags with a spoon, then squeeze them. The volume of the infusion obtained is adjusted to 100 ml with boiled water.

    Infusion takes 2-3 times a day 15 minutes before meals: children from 3 to 6 years - 1 dessert spoon, children from 6 to 14 years - 1-2 tablespoons, children over 14 years and adults - 1 / 3-1 / 2 cup.

    Before use, the infusion is recommended to be shaken.
