Mint leaves contain an essential oil, which includes menthol and its esters ((3-pinene, limonene, cineole, dipentene, pulegon and other terpenoids), organic acids, tannins, flavonoids, carotene, betaine, hesperidin, trace elements and other biologically active substances.

Description:A mixture of particles of mint leaves of various shapes passing through a sieve with holes 2 mm in size. Color from light green to dark green with brownish-brown and whitish impregnations. The smell is strong, fragrant. The taste of the water extract is slightly burning, cooling.

  • Pharmacodynamics:Infusion of peppermint leaves has spasmolytic, calming, choleretic, antiemetic and locally irritating effects.
    Indications:Symptomatic therapy: spasms of smooth muscles of the gastrointestinal tract, nausea, vomiting.
    Contraindications:Hypersensitivity to mint preparations, early childhood (up to 3 years).
    Pregnancy and lactation:Application during pregnancy and during lactation is possible if the expected benefit for the mother exceeds the potential risk to the fetus and the baby. It is necessary to consult a doctor.
    Dosing and Administration:3 filter bags are placed in a glass or enamel ware, pour 200 ml (1 glass) of boiling water, cover with a lid and insist for 15 minutes, periodically pressing on the bags with a spoon, then squeeze them. The volume of the infusion obtained is adjusted to 200 ml with boiled water. Take infusion 2-3 times a day for 15 minutes before meals: children from 3 to 5 years - 1 dessert spoon, children from 6 to 14 years - 1-2 tablespoons, children over 14 years and adults - 1 / 3 - 1/2 cup. Before use, the infusion is recommended to be shaken.
