Composition:

Characteristic

The fruits of juniper contain essential oil, sugars, gums, organic acids, etc.

Description:Fruits 6-9 mm in diameter, spherical, often slightly laterally impressed, smooth, shiny, rarely matte. The color of the fruits outside is almost black or purple with a brownish tinge, sometimes with a bluish wax coating; flesh - greenish-brown; seeds-yellowish brown. The smell is original, fragrant. The taste of the water extract is sweetish, spicy.

    • Pharmacodynamics:Infusion of juniper fruit has a diuretic effect, has anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties.
    Indications:In the complex therapy of edematous syndrome (with heart failure, kidney and / or liver failure), cystitis.
    Contraindications:Hypersensitivity to the drug, acute inflammatory kidney disease; pregnancy, lactation, age under 18 years.
    Dosing and Administration:

    About 10 g (1 tablespoon) of fruit is placed in enameled dishes, pour 200 ml (1 cup) of boiling water,close the lid and heat in a boiling water bath for 15 minutes, cool at room temperature for 45 minutes, filter, the remaining raw material is squeezed. The volume of the infusion obtained is adjusted to 200 ml with boiled water.

    Take inside 1 tablespoon 3 - 4 times a day after meals. Before use, the infusion is recommended to be shaken.

    Side effects:Allergic reactions are possible.
