Composition:

Every 100 g of ointment contains:

Levomentol 5.0 g

    • Pharmacodynamics:

    MUV ointment has a local irritating, local anesthetic and anti-inflammatory effect. Has a reflex vasodilator effect. The effect of the drug is due to a combination of active ingredients.

    Levomenthol

    The irritating effect of levomenthol helps reduce pain. Local action is accompanied by narrowing of the vessels, sensation of cold, turning into a feeling of slight burning and tingling.

    Levomenthol is well absorbed through the membranes of the mucous membrane into the subcutaneous tissue, while with local application of its concentration in the systemic blood stream are negligible.

    Methylsalicylate

    Methylsalicylate is an anti-inflammatory analgesic. Nonselectively inhibits cyclooxygenase, reducing the synthesis of prostaglandins.Normalizes the increased permeability of capillaries, improves microcirculation processes, reduces edema and infiltration of inflamed tissues. Methyl salicylate, when applied topically, penetrates into the tissues through unchanged skin, while not reaching a concentration in the systemic blood stream at which an analgesic effect is obtained.     Eucalyptus leaf oil has an antiseptic and moisturizing effect due to the essential oil content.

    Turpentine gum is an antiseptic. Its therapeutic effect is due to the presence in the turpentine of the vital 53-carena, fellandrene and euginol.

    Indications:
