Polymyxin B and neomycin are active against aerobic gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. Inactive against streptococcal and anaerobic infections.
Nystatin has fungicidal action against fungi of the genus Candida.
Pharmacokinetics:After intravaginal administration, it is evenly distributed over the mucous membrane of the vagina. Not absorbed, does not have a systemic effect.
Indications:It is used for the treatment of nonspecific colpitis, cervicovaginitis, fungal colpitis and for the prevention of infectious complications before birth, intrauterine diagnostic procedures, gynecological operations, before and after diathermocoagulation of cervical erosion.
