Pharmacodynamics:The drug is of natural origin, has an adsorbing effect.Stabilizes the mucous barrier, forms polyvalent bonds with glycoproteins of mucus, - increases. the amount of mucus, improves its gastroprotective. properties (regarding the negative effects of hydrochloric acid, bile salts, microorganisms and their toxins). It has selective sorption properties, which are explained by its discoid-crystal structure. Adsorbs bacteria and viruses located in the lumen of the gastrointestinal tract. In therapeutic doses, it has no direct effect on intestinal motility.

Pharmacokinetics:It is not absorbed in the gastrointestinal tract, it is excreted unchanged.

Indications:

Diarrhea (allergic, medicinal origin, with a violation of diet and quality of food).

Diarrhea of an infectious genesis - in structure of complex therapy.

Treatment of symptoms associated with gastric and intestinal diseases (heartburn, feeling of heaviness, abdominal discomfort and abdominal).

Dosing and Administration:

Inside. Adults and children over 12 years: 1 packet 3 times a day.The contents of the sachet are dissolved in 100 ml of water, gradually pouring powder and stirring it evenly.

Children under 12 years old - the contents of the sachet are dissolved in 50 ml of liquid. At the age of 1 year -1 bag per day; from 1 year to 2 years - 2 bags per day; children over 2 years - 2-3 bags per day. The daily dose is divided into 3-4 doses during the day.

Side effects:

Constipation (as a rule, the function of the intestine is restored with a decrease in the dose of the drug), allergic reactions.

Interaction:

Reduces the speed and degree of absorption of concomitant medications.

Special instructions:

For small children, the contents of the sachet are dissolved in a baby bottle (50 ml) and distributed to several receptions during the day or mixed with any semi-liquid product (porridge, mashed potatoes, compote, baby food).

In the event that a single dose is less than 1 sachet, the prepared unused suspension should be stored in a closed container in a refrigerator at a temperature of 2-8 ° C for not more than 16 hours. Before each intake, the suspension should be shaken thoroughly.

The interval between taking Neosmectin ® and other medications should be 1-2 hours.

One sachet of Neosmectin (3.76 g) contains 0.06 bread units, the daily dose of the drug for adults (3 sachets) - 0.19 bread units.
