Composition:

In 100 g of ointment contains:

active substances: capsaicin natural 0.015 g, ethyl nicotinate 2,000 g, ethylene glycol salicylate 9,000 g;

Excipients: propyl parahydroxybenzoate 0.030 g, methyl parahydroxybenzoate 0.070 g, lavender oil 0.100 g, ethanol 96% 0.735 g, sodium lauryl sulfate 1,600 g, paraffin liquid 8,000 g, cetyl stearyl octanoate 14,400 g, petroleum jelly white 16,000 g, purified water 48,050 g.

  • Pharmacodynamics:

    Has local irritating, local anesthetic and vasodilating action.

    The drug irritates the skin receptors and promotes the development of reflex reactions - causes hyperemia and skin hyperthermia.

    The mechanism of action is due to the stimulation of the formation and release of endorphins and enkephalins, the suppression of pain from sites of inflammation by interaction in the nerve centers of pain impulses from the site of irritation with the drug. In addition, it improves blood supply in the lesions and increases vascular permeability, resulting in increased local microcirculation.

    Indications:

    Arthralgia, myalgia, pain syndrome with diseases of the periarticular tissues, lumboschialgia, sciatica, ligamentous apparatus injuries, for warming up the muscles before and after sports.

    Contraindications:

    Hypersensitivity to any component of the drug, open wounds, skin irritation, children under 18 years of age (due to the lack of data on the use of the drug in children), pregnancy, breastfeeding.

    Carefully:

    Full or partial combination of asthma, recurrent nasal polyposis and paranasal sinuses and intolerance to acetylsalicylic acid and other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (including history).

    Pregnancy and lactation:

    The drug is contraindicated in pregnancy and during breastfeeding.

    Dosing and Administration:

    Outwardly.

    Ointment (strip 3-5 cm) is applied a thin layer on a clean, undamaged, dry skin for the first 3 days 1 time per day, then 2 times a day (morning and evening).

    To warm up the muscles in athletes, a strip of ointment 4-5 cm long is carefully rubbed into the skin.

    The course of treatment without consulting a doctor should not exceed 10 days.

    Side effects:

    In rare cases, hypersensitivity to the drug, irritation at the injection site, skin allergic reactions develops.

    Overdose:

    There is no evidence of an overdose of the drug.In the case of ingesting large amounts of ointment, symptomatic therapy is necessary.

    Interaction:

    The drug causes flushing of the skin and reflexively enhances blood circulation in the subcutaneous tissue; Thus, the joint application with other topical preparations can lead to an increase in their absorption.

    Special instructions:

    For external use only.

    Do not use with warming compresses.

    If skin irritation occurs, discontinue use.

    Avoid contact with eyes, mucous membranes, skin irritation.

    After using Nikoflex ointment, hands should be thoroughly washed in warm water with soap.

    The drug does not affect the ability to drive and work with other mechanisms.
