Composition:

Dandelion roots.

Characteristic

Dandelion roots contain inulin, mucus, bitter glycosides, tannins and other biologically active substances.

Description:

Pieces of roots of various shapes passing through a sieve with holes 7 mm in size. Color grayish-white with dark brown and yellow impregnations. The smell is absent. The taste of water extract is bitter with a sweet aftertaste.

    • Pharmacodynamics:

    Decoction of the roots of dandelion has a choleretic effect, increases appetite, increases the secretion of gastric juice.

    Indications:

    In complex therapy of chronic non-calculous cholecystitis, dyskinesia of bile ducts in hypomotor type, with a change in the composition of bile with the risk of stone formation (cholagogue); to increase appetite and improve digestion - with hypoacid and chronic atrophic gastritis.

    Contraindications:

    Hypersensitivity to dandelion preparations, peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum in the acute stage, gastritis in the acute stage, acute pancreatitis, cholelithiasis,hypersecretion of gastric juice, pregnancy, lactation, children's age (up to 12 years).

    Dosing and Administration:

    About 10 grams (2 tablespoons) of raw materials are placed in enamel ware, poured 200 ml (1 glass) of hot boiled water, covered with a lid and heated in a boiling water bath for 30 minutes, cooled at room temperature for 10 minutes, filtered, the remaining raw material squeezed. The volume of the resulting broth is brought to 200 ml with boiled water.

    Take inside in a warm form for 1 / 4-1 / 3 cup 3-4 times a day for 30 minutes before meals.

    It is recommended to stir up the broth before use.
