    Pharmacodynamics:Both chlorpheniramine and phenyltoloxamine belong to antihistamines. Chlorpheniramine is an antihistaminic agent of the alkylamine type, while phenyltoloxamine belongs to the chemical class of ethanolamines.Chlorpheniramine and phenyltoloxamine suppress histamine-mediated symptoms of allergic rhinitis, alleviating sneezing, rhinorrhea, and itching in the eyes, nose, and throat. Phenylephrine is an α-adrenergic receptor agonist (sympathomimetic tic), which has a vasoconstrictive effect by stimulating α-adrenergic receptors in the mucous membranes of the respiratory tract. Phenylephrine reduces edema of mucous membranes and flushing of tissues, softens stagnant phenomena in the nasal cavity and improves nasal breathing.
    Indications:Rhinorrhea, allergic rhinitis and vasomotor rhinitis.
    Contraindications:Age before 12 years. Hypersensitivity to the ingredients of the drug, the simultaneous administration of monoamine oxidase inhibitors, pregnancy, lactation.
    Carefully:Peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum at the stage of exacerbation, pyloroduodenal obstruction, prostatic hypertrophy, stricture of the neck of the bladder, bronchial asthma, angle-closure glaucoma, increased intraocular pressure, arterial hypertension, diabetes mellitus, hyperthyroidism, simultaneous use of sympathomimetic drugs.
    Dosing and Administration:Adults and children 12 years and older - 1 capsule every 8-12 hours. It is not recommended to use the drug for more than 5 days.
    Side effects:

    From the cardiovascular system: arterial hypertension, tachycardia.

    On the part of the blood system: thrombocytopenia, agranulocytosis, and leukopenia.

    From the nervous system: sedation, headache, dizziness, psychomotor agitation (especially in children), increased nervous excitability, insomnia, convulsions.

    From the sense organs: visual acuity reduction

    From the digestive system: anorexia, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation.

    From the urinary system: frequent urination, urinary retention.

    From the respiratory system: a feeling of tightness in the chest and shortness of breath, "stuffiness" of the nose. Other: urticaria, dry mouth, nose and throat.

    Overdose:Dryness in the mouth, dilated pupils, flushes of blood to the face, nausea and vomiting. If the amount of ingested medication is excessive, it is necessary to induce vomiting, provided that the patient does not have convulsions, is not comatose and has not lost the gag reflex, otherwise a gastric lavage is performed using a tube of sufficiently large diameter.After this, if there is evidence, it is necessary to take Activated carbon and mineral laxative.
    Interaction:The drug enhances the effect of drugs that depress the central nervous system, such as alcohol, anxiolytics, hypnotics and sedatives, and others.
